High Cholesterol Management
Make sense of your cholesterol results and discuss a personalized cardiovascular prevention plan.
New consultation $225 · Established follow-up $175
Understanding high cholesterol
Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance the body needs. High LDL cholesterol can contribute to plaque buildup in arteries. Cholesterol levels are usually assessed with a blood test, and treatment decisions consider more than one number, including your overall cardiovascular risk.
What we’ll discuss
- Your latest cholesterol panel and previous results
- Family history and other cardiovascular risk factors
- Lifestyle goals, medication options, and side effects
Your ongoing care
The care team can explain your results, discuss prevention and medication when appropriate, and plan repeat laboratory monitoring. Nutrition and activity recommendations are tailored to your health and circumstances. A virtual visit does not replace the blood tests used to measure cholesterol.
Questions about your care
Do I need blood test results before my visit?
Bring existing results if you have them. Your provider can discuss what testing may be needed if you do not have a recent cholesterol panel.
